Hi there!
Laying across my queen-size bed, I wrapped my arms tight around me. Belts of barbed wire wrapped tighter and tighter around my upper abdomen, choking the air from my lungs.
"Please, God," I begged. "Just let me die."
I thought living with bipolar disorder was hard, but when my physical health also spun out of control, survival felt impossible. All I wanted to do was give up.
But now, I’m so glad I didn’t.
“Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”
- Thomas Edison
