Hi there!
New York City was recently invaded.
I’m not surprised if you missed the story, because it didn’t make huge headlines. But it was an invasion all the same. And this invasion can teach us how to deal with bipolar disorder.
If you’re wondering which government attacked, you can stop worrying. It wasn’t soldiers marching through the streets, but rather, a common insect.
New York was recovering from their worst air quality days because of the smoke from the wildfires in Canada. Just when things started to improve, an additional problem appeared. Aphids descended upon the city in record numbers.
Aphids are tiny creatures measuring 1/16- to 1/8-inch-long. Unless they’ve set up home on a houseplant or prized vegetable garden, you might never notice them.
What’s amazing about this tiny insect is how it can teach you two useful lessons about coping with your mental illness. Let me explain.
“In school, you're taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you're given a test that teaches you a lesson.”
