Hi there!
I want to quit every day–my job, my friends, my life–all of it.
I don’t talk about it often because it doesn’t encourage positivity, but it’s my daily truth.
Bipolar is tough, and the constant weight of it will frequently make you want to give up, but you must never succumb to it.
Fighting bipolar disorder is like climbing a mountain.
On the good days, you climb higher. On terrible days, you backslide, and on most days, you stay pretty close to where you started. It’s a never-ending battle, but it’s one that’s worth fighting.
So why do I keep going?
Because I know that someday I will reach the top of my mountain. I will defeat bipolar disorder if by no other means than continuing to fight.
If I give up now, all my progress will be for nothing.
“Never give up; for even rivers someday wash dams away.”

The Lesson of Water
Water inspires me.
The Grand Canyon is over 270 miles long, up to 18 miles wide, and a mile deep. It’s believed that it took the Colorado River five million or more years to create the visual splendor.
The river refuses to quit, and with each passing drop, it adds to the beauty of this natural masterpiece.
Like the Colorado River, you too must never give up.
You have to keep fighting, even when it feels like you’re not making any progress. Because eventually, all your hard work will pay off and you’ll create our own masterpiece: a life worth living, despite bipolar disorder.
And that’s something worth fighting for.
Water Finds a Way
Water never gives up.
It never turns around and says, “I can’t do this. I have to quit.”
Whether it’s one drop falling at a time or a tiny trickle of liquid, water keeps moving forward. Water is always on the go either flowing down or being evaporated back up into the sky. It adjusts to every environment, being hard as ice when needed or disappearing like steam when conditions are too intense.
You can do the same.
With time and effort, you can learn to face any challenge. Some will make you stronger, while others you may have to walk away from. Make it your determination to be like water and you’ll never stop.
I believe in you.
