Mental Illness: It's Not Weakness, It's Strength
You can keep going no matter how broken you feel.
Hi there!
Some days, I feel truly broken, like mental illness has won the war and no one can put my Humpty-Dumpty pieces back together again.
I feel weighed down, crushed, and worthless. Pithy sayings such as, “Just do it,” or “Push yourself,” or even my favorite, “Keep fighting,” are meaningless.
The war is done. I lost the fight. The sun will never rise again.
Except, it will rise again. So will you. The war’s not over.
“The world breaks everyone, and afterward some are strong at the broken places.”
- Ernest Hemingway

And that’s okay.
