Wednesday’s Journal Prompt: What coping mechanisms help you feel the best? How can you find more time for these things?

The last six months of my dad’s life were hard–harder than I expected them to be. I’d watched friends care for their parents, and it looked much easier than it actually was.

My dad started falling, which meant I stopped sleeping. Every noise, even the pops and groans of an aging house, woke me up.
