Hi there!

The world is a special place in the hour right before dawn. First, all is quiet. Then, a few birds start to sing, soon joined by others. Before long, the hustle and bustle of our busy world starts to drown it all out.

Practicing mindfulness is one of my favorite ways to bring things back to zero. I get my greatest success when I do it outside.

There’s beauty everywhere in nature, even if you live in a city, but you have to keep your eyes open to see it. Just this morning, I saw three types of mushrooms growing in my yard that I don't remember seeing before. On a normal workday, I would have missed them, but today, I had time to wander in my yard, and there was so much to see.

Starting your day with a walk is an excellent way to add more mindfulness to your life. I’m not a morning person, though, and when I am up early, usually the last thing I want to do is put on walking shoes and head outside. So how else can you add mindfulness to your life?
