Hi there!
You’re driving down the road, minding your own business, when suddenly you see a sign for the detour. You take it, thinking you’ll be back on your way in no time.
But then you realize that this isn’t just any detour—it’s a miles-long stretch of winding roads that seem to go nowhere.
You start to doubt yourself: why did you take this stupid detour in the first place?
Just when you’re about to turn around and head back the way you came, you spot a sparkling lake surrounded by lush green trees in the distance. Two snow-white swans are gliding on the surface, followed by five little ones.
A family of five is standing on the bank near a parked minivan and the dad is making gigantic bubbles, to the delight of his three youngsters. The children are all laughing and spinning in circles.
You pull off the road to marvel at one of the most picturesque sights you’ve ever seen. In fact, you pull out your phone to snap a quick picture to show your significant other later.
With a smile on your face, you realize you wouldn’t have seen any of it without that annoying detour.
“See any detour as an opportunity to experience new things.”
