Hi there!

In the spring of 1995, I received my bipolar disorder diagnosis. I knew little about mental illnesses other than the little I had seen on TV or read in the book Sybil. I knew of one man with the diagnosis, and the way he lived his life terrified me about my possible future.

Bipolar disorder is a serious mental illness. It can throw your life into chaos, fill your head with false memories, and drive you to self-destructive behaviors.
