My boss was off on a tirade before he even flipped on the lights in his office.
Something set him off before he arrived, and we were all going to pay for the resulting mood. It was Monday, my least favorite day of the week, and he was going to make sure it was an unpleasant one.
Mondays are the bullies of the week.
They smack you in the face like a glass of ice water flung at you. It’s a stark reminder that the peace of the weekend is over and it’s time to return to the grindstone.
Mondays are inevitable. They come every week, every seven days, and there’s no stopping them. The unwelcome day is a part of life we learn to accept.
